If you are unable to access the payment site, there is most likely an issue with your browser or with any program running in your browser such as an ad-blocker. We recommend trying a different browser and temporarily disabling any ad-blockers you may have running and attempting payment again.

Sometimes when a credit card fails authorization, a temporary charge may hit your account before it is removed. If you receive an error stating that we failed to authorize the card, this means the credit card issuer declined the authorization. The most common reasons for failure include:

Address verification (AVS) mismatch
Invalid CVV/Expiration Date
Card is flagged as lost or stolen
Risk or fraud decision from the issuing bank

When a card fails authorization, we recommend verifying the card information you entered, disabling any autofill features in your browser, and if that doesn’t resolve the issue, reaching out to your card issuer to verify your billing information and attempt the payment again.

Please note it can take up to two weeks for scores to be reported to UCI from your testing agency after the scores have been requested/made available to you.

If you reported scores with a different date of birth, email address, name or variation of your name than what was provided on your application, please provide the details in your message, including the registration number for GRE/TOEFL or TRF number for IELTS. Please see our website for more information regarding reporting test scores.

All graduate applicants are required to demonstrate English proficiency for admissions consideration. A student may receive a waiver for admission purposes only if they have earned an undergraduate or master's degree from an institution at which English was the sole language of instruction according to the World Higher Education Database (WHED).
